E-911 Communications Officer
Lumpkin County is currently accepting applications for a Communications Officer for E-911. This position is responsible for receiving emergency and administrative calls from the public and dispatching the appropriate emergency personnel. Minimum qualifications include the ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or the equivalent. Must be able to work well under pressure and multi-task. 12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays required. Must possess or have the ability to readily obtain GCIC/NCIC certification.
Employment contingent upon passing background check, physical exam, and a post offer drug screening.
