Filing Fee Increases
Effective January 1, 2019, notary public applications and trade name registrations filing fees will each be increased $10 for the Alternate Dispute Resolution fund (ADR) based upon recent guidance from the Office of the Georgia Attorney General.
The assessment of an ADR fee applies because it is styled similarly and would be consistent among other fees already assessed by clerks on civil actions, including notary public commissions and trade name registrations. See OCGA 15-23-7 and Op. Attorney General 10-3.
