Adopt-A-Road

Do you get tired of seeing litter on our county roadsides? There’s something you can do about it! Adopt-A-Road, a litter prevention program sponsored by the North Georgia Resource Management Authority (NGRMA), Keep Lumpkin County Beautiful (KLCB), and the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners, is designed to allow you to participate in cleaning up litter along the County’s roads. Any Lumpkin County resident or business owner may adopt a stretch of county road (one-mile minimum) for litter pickup. Lumpkin County will provide signs indicating the section of road under adoption, safety vests, trash bags and disposal and, if available, traffic control signs for use during the cleanups. Interested or want more information? Please contact Lumpkin County Volunteer Trina Pellegrino at 706-348-8500 or 678-343-8309.  You can also download a form using the following link http://ngrma.org/id4.html .  The website does note that the mailing address is different from what is listed on the form.
