2020 SPLOST Facts on Equipment and Road Resurfacing

Without SPLOST funding, property taxes would have to be raised 3.7 mils just to cover equipment needs and road resurfacing for County projects.  On May 22, 2018, Lumpkin County voters will consider a SPLOST continuation referendum.  Proposed projects are:  Economic development, roads and bridges equipment, vehicles, resurfacing, improvements, Library, Sheriff’s Department equipment and vehicles, Water Authority system improvements, City of Dahlonega roads and bridges resurfacing and improvements, storm-water infrastructure and water and sewer system improvements.  It is estimated that the SPLOST will generate $18,900,000 towards these projects.
