Absentee by Mail

Apply for Absentee Ballot

If you would like to request an absentee ballot for an upcoming election, you will need to complete and return an absentee ballot application. Applications can be submitted up to 78 days prior to the election.

You must submit an absentee ballot application for each election you wish to receive an absentee ballot, unless you are over the age of 65, physically disabled, or a UOCAVA voter. If you fall under any of these categories, you can submit one application and receive a rollover ballot for the remaining elections to be held in that year. Please note the following:

  • You must check the appropriate box under the Exceptions Section on the application to be eligible to receive your rollover ballot.
  • Rollover ballots are only good for one election year; you must resubmit a new absentee ballot application for each year you wish to receive ballots.
  • Special elections are not included in the rollover application. If you wish to receive a ballot by mail for a special election, you must complete an absentee ballot application specifically for that election.
