Welcome to the Office of the Clerk of Courts of Lumpkin County, Georgia. The Clerk of Superior Court is established in the Constitution of the State of Georgia. The Clerk of Courts is found to be one of most popular elected officials serving the Superior, Juvenile and Magistrate Courts in Lumpkin County. The Clerk has an obligation to follow the court rules and law for each court they may serve. The Clerk of Courts is the custodian over land and property records of the county as well as the civil, criminal, juvenile and adoption files and records in the courts served. Furthermore, the Clerk of Courts office provides personal service directly to the public on a daily basis. The office of the Clerk of Superior Court consists of four major divisions: Judicial, Real Estate, Personal Property/ Liens/Accounting, and Business/Professional/Administrative.

This site is provided as a service & to primarily benefit you, the citizens of Lumpkin County and any others who require services from the office of the Clerk of Superior Court. My goal as Clerk and administrator of the various courts is to provide as much information and as many services as possible efficiently and in a cost effectively way to taxpayers and other customers. As you use this website, I encourage any suggestions you may have that may benefit the citizens and the public.

Notices

  1. Effective January 1, 2019, notary public applications and trade name registrations filing fees will each be increased $10.00 for the Alternate Dispute Resolution fund (ADR) based upon recent guidance from the Office of the Georgia Attorney General.  The assessment of an ADR fee applies because it is styled similarly and would be consistent among other fees already assessed by clerks on civil actions, including notary public commissions and trade name registrations.               See O.C.G.A. 15-23-7 and Op. Att’y Gen. 10-3New filing fee for notary public applications will be $52.00. 

                   New filing fee for trade name registrations will be $172.00.

  2. Effective January 1, 2019, it is mandatory to eFile your Civil Cases and pleadings in Lumpkin County Superior Court at PeachCourt.com.  Document retrieval is easy via PeachCourt.  A Public Access Terminal (PAT) will be available to filing parties (attorneys and individuals representing themselves) in the main lobby of the Clerk of Superior Court’s office.  A PeachCourt user guide for the PAT will be available with step-by-step instructions.  There will be no charge to use the PAT located inside the Clerk of Superior Court’s office.  Additional fees will apply when eFiling documents from other locations in additional to regular filing and/or service fees.
  3. eFiling and eRecording of Real Estate documents, including UCC’s, is now available through https://efile.gsccca.org. eFile to save your time and money!
  4. Effective January 1, 2017, plat eFiling becomes MANDATORY through https://efile.gsccca.org. HB1004 – http://www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/en-US/Display/20152016/HB/1004

A public filing terminal (computer) will be available inside the Clerk of Courts office for use in eFiling plats. Plats must be submitted to the Clerk for filing at 300 dpi resolution.
